Amazon acquires Selz to fend-off competitions from Shopify

E-commerce behemoth Amazon Inc. has acquired the Australian company Selz at an unspecified amount as it gets ready for competition from another Canada’s Shopify Inc.

Amazon has not revealed the deal price but said the acquisition would help maintain its market dominance in Australia and elsewhere.

The December CPI was 0.7 per cent. According to the latest data, the prices of durable goods and gasoline rose by 1.7 per cent and 6.1 per cent, respectively, compared with the figures in December 2020.

Churchill Nears A SPAC Merger With Lucid Motors

Churchill Capital IV has reportedly began discussions with investors regarding raising proceeds for its potential merger with Lucid Motors. The SPAC intends to generate at least US$ 1 billion via a ‘private investment in public equity’ (PIPE) transaction, but could breach the US$ 1.5 billion-mark based on investor demand.

Reports added that Lucid Motors Inc is inching closer to a merger deal with Churchill Capital IV at a valuation of about US$ 12 billion.
