Ocean Power Technologies Inc., a prominent player in the marine Industrial sector, has announced a strategic partnership with Brazil's Serviço Nacional de Aprendizagem Industrial (SENAI) Innovation Institute for Virtual Production Systems, part of Firjan. This collaboration is outlined in a recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at exploring opportunities within the Blue Economy, focusing on sustainable marine solutions. 

SENAI is a Brazilian organization dedicated to providing technical education and training for the industrial sector, which aligns well with Ocean Power Technologies' mission to foster innovation in ocean technologies. The partnership will specifically look into the deployment of Ocean Power Technologies Inc. (NYSE: OPTT)’s WAM-V (Wave Adaptive Modular Vessel) autonomous and unmanned surface vehicles, alongside their Next Generation PowerBuoys, which are equipped with advanced AI-capable Merrows.
