ABS’s preliminary results for construction work done showed that the seasonally adjusted (SA) estimate for total construction work done dropped 0.7% to $50,128.8 million in the June quarter. The SA estimate of total building work done fell 3.9% to $28,416.7 million. The SA estimate for engineering work done rose 3.8% to $21,712.1 million. The SA estimate for residential work and non-residential work fell 5.5% and 1.5% to 16,642.9 million and 11,773.8 million respectively.
Zip Co Limited (ASX:Z1P) has marked the official launch of Zip Business by partnering with eBay Australia to provide its 40,000 small and medium-sized Australian businesses with an opportunity to access working capital via the eBay marketplace. The partnership between eBay and Zip Business is built to offer merchants the freedom to purchase inventory, cover short-term expenditures like marketing campaigns, and handle their cashflows, through access to flexible lines of credit. At AEST 12:00 PM, Z1P shares were trading at A$8.98, up 18.626% from the previous close.
Jumbo Interactive Limited (ASX:JIN) has announced its FY2020 results for the year ended 30 June 2020. TTV increased by 9% to A$349 million. Revenue improved by 9% to A$71 million. Underlying EBITDA rose 8% A$43.2 million. Underlying NPAT remained at par and stood at A$26.5 million. A Fully Franked Final Dividend of 17 cents was declared by the company. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the players went online which helped in improving the ticket sales despite lower jackpots as compared to the previous corresponding year.
