Greg Galton: Driving Bitcoin Compounding and Digital Innovation

Greg Galton joined Portal 18 months ago and has been integral to the Radiance Fund Investment Committee. He recently led the Bitcoin Extraction Strategy (BESt), aiming to generate monthly Bitcoin returns of 5–7%. Since January 2025, the Radiance Fund has exclusively adopted this BTC compounding strategy.

With over 30 years in stockbroking research and funds management across Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney, Greg combines traditional finance expertise with deep digital asset experience. Over the past five years, he has actively traded Bitcoin and altcoins, operated Bitcoin mining infrastructure, and engaged with DeFi protocols such as Curve, Aave, and Lido.

Greg tested the BESt strategy with personal capital in 2024 before its formal launch in January 2025.

His strengths include:

  • Research on crypto ecosystems and blockchain technologies
  • Early-stage thematic investment identification
  • On-chain analytics and DeFi protocol implementation
  • Crypto-specific valuation and market tracking
  • Institutional-grade risk management for digital markets

Greg’s blend of traditional and digital finance knowledge aligns with Portal’s vision to lead the future of asset management.

Phil McGregor: Architect of BESt and AI-Driven Investment Innovation

Phil McGregor developed the BESt, a Bitcoin options strategy that has delivered exceptional annualised returns over three years. BESt now underpins Portal’s shift towards systematic, AI-driven, and Web 3.0-focused growth strategies.

Phil began trading options in 2012, initially with equities before specialising in Bitcoin due to its performance potential. Alongside his trading career, he founded and grew a successful digital marketing agency, evolving from a solo freelancer into a full-fledged team with direct support from within Facebook.

His professional journey began in the public sector as an Intelligence Officer with the Queensland Police Service and Australian Defence Force, where he rapidly advanced through the ranks. He later developed telecoms IP licensed by major providers such as Optus, Vodafone, and Telstra resellers.

Phil’s strategic insight and entrepreneurial drive is expected to assist Portal in expanding its global reach.

With these strategic leadership additions, Portal Asset Management aims to advance its cutting-edge strategies.
