  • Positive results strengthen resource model confidence
  • New drilling efforts target broader exploration at Ravenswood

Sunshine Metals (ASX:SHN) is intensifying efforts to accelerate the commercialisation of its Liontown prospect, located within the Ravenswood Consolidated Project. This move comes as part of a broader exploration campaign aimed at strengthening the company’s footprint in the historically significant Charter Towers-Ravenswood district. Although not part of the ASX 200 share price index, this development adds to growing activity in the region’s resource sector

A recent drilling initiative has been completed at the Plateau and Salla prospects, both part of the greater Ravenswood project. At the Plateau site, the company conducted a focused infill drilling program spanning eight holes. These efforts are aimed at enhancing the current geological understanding and feeding into an updated mineral resource estimate, expected to be released in the near future.

Initial drill results from Plateau have showcased consistent mineralisation, aligning closely with previous historical data. The intersections confirm strong zones of gold and silver-bearing rock near other known high-grade areas, reinforcing confidence in Sunshine’s exploration model and providing a solid foundation for further assessment and development.

Over at the Salla prospect, a reconnaissance drilling program targeting geophysical anomalies was completed across three holes. While economic mineralisation has not yet been confirmed, the presence of key indicator minerals, such as pyrite and sphalerite, suggests that the drilling may have encountered a near miss. The company is now collecting additional data, including results from soil geochemistry, to refine its exploration strategy for future campaigns.

Meanwhile, preparations are underway for reverse circulation drilling at the Sybil prospect. These upcoming activities are set to support Sunshine’s resource expansion initiatives and keep the momentum strong across the project area.

The Ravenswood Consolidated Project sits within a prolific gold and polymetallic mining region, historically known for its significant production. Sunshine’s current exploration and development roadmap indicates a strategic approach—progressing its primary Liontown asset while simultaneously nurturing a pipeline of prospective targets.

This multi-pronged exploration focus signals Sunshine Metals’ commitment to unlocking long-term value through data-driven resource growth and targeted development work, positioning the company for sustained advancement in the region.
