Loyal Metals Limited (ASX:LLM) has formed a strategic alliance with VRIFY, a major AI-powered mineral exploration company, to accelerate drilling and exploration work at the Highway Reward Copper-Gold Project in Queensland. The collaboration will leverage VRIFY’s advanced DORA platform to harness artificial intelligence and geoscience to optimise drill target generation, reduce exploration timelines, and enhance decision-making precision.
Backed by AUD 5.8 million in funding, this partnership highlights the company’s commitment to deploying next-generation technologies that deliver deeper geological insights and drive value creation.

DORA Platform Integration at Highway Reward
The DORA platform is designed to deliver rapid, iterative prospectivity modelling, generating high-value copper-gold drilling targets within hours rather than months. This accelerated process is achieved by integrating global datasets with project-specific inputs, including geochemistry, drilling, structural and geophysics data. Advanced machine learning algorithms are then applied to uncover overlooked mineral zones and produce deeper geological insights while reducing human bias.
At Highway Reward, the platform will integrate historical exploration data with latest MobileMTd geophysical surveys. The combined dataset is anticipated to identify concealed mineralisation patterns and enhance targeting accuracy.
Data Digitisation and Historical Analysis
A critical part of the program involves digitising and interpreting over 1,000 historical drill holes. This work will be led by Dr. Simon Beams and Terra Search to ensure that the data is optimised for processing as per the DORA’s algorithms. The conversion of legacy exploration data into a machine-readable format will enable AI-assisted reassessment of the project’s mineral potential, potentially identifying targets that conventional exploration methods may not detect.
AI-Enhanced Geological Modelling
VRIFY’s mineral discovery platform uses a proprietary AI engine to evaluate thousands of geological scenarios, detecting complex spatial relationships beyond the scope of traditional interpretation. The system employs vision-transformer models, conceptually similar to ChatGPT’s natural language models but trained specifically on geoscience datasets, allowing for advanced pattern recognition across extensive data.

Loyal Metals is progressing the Highway Reward project with a comprehensive exploration strategy incorporating AI analysis, detailed geophysics, digitised legacy data, and precision drilling. The partnership with VRIFY marks a key step in applying advanced technology to mineral exploration in Australia, aiming to improve efficiency and expand the project’s resource potential.
