Drilling preparations advance for Minbrie Copper-Base Metals Project
Graphite testwork confirms suitability for battery-grade applications
Access secured for uranium exploration at Jungle Dam
Lincoln Minerals (ASX:LML) is setting the stage for a multi-front exploration push as it gears up to present at a major industry conference later this month. The company is progressing with plans for its first drill program at the Minbrie Copper-Base Metals Project, refining its graphite project for downstream, and moving forward with early-stage uranium exploration.
These updates follow a significant technical phase that has strengthened the company’s roadmap across several of its key assets in South Australia.
Drilling Readiness at Minbrie Project
Following the completion of an extensive technical review, Lincoln has finalised preparations for maiden drilling at its Minbrie Copper-Base Metals Project. The company re-logged over 1,700 metres of core, submitted hundreds of new assays, and developed a three-dimensional model to sharpen drill target definition.
The Minbrie site, located within the well-known Gawler Craton region, has already yielded encouraging mineralisation data. Earlier work identified a high-grade copper and base metals intercept, which now anchors a structurally controlled system believed to extend over several kilometres. With planning in place, drilling is expected to commence from mid to late 2025, backed by permitting and mobilisation activities currently underway.
Graphite Testwork at Kookaburra Gully
Lincoln has also shared new findings from its Kookaburra Gully Graphite Project. The company submitted samples to two separate laboratories, both of which confirmed that the graphite material meets the criteria for battery-grade applications. This benchmark is essential for use in lithium-ion battery anodes, adding strategic importance to the project.
As the energy sector shifts toward cleaner technologies, graphite purity has become a central focus for companies operating in the space. Lincoln’s consistent test results position Kookaburra Gully as a project with both technical merit and commercial. Ongoing discussions around downstream development and offtake arrangements are part of the broader plan for the asset’s future.
As the year progresses, the company anticipates a steady flow of news, ranging from drilling updates and assay results to development milestones across its project portfolio.
