  • Mineral signature hints at strong potential

Inca Minerals (ASX:ICG) has unveiled encouraging rock chip sampling results that significantly extend the known footprint of gold and antimony mineralisation at its Hurricane Project in Queensland. The development comes as the company readies for its next phase of drilling, with field work advancing swiftly at the site.

Located in the Hodgkinson Province in northeastern Queensland, Hurricane is interpreted to host a sediment-hosted orogenic gold system. The latest findings reinforce this interpretation, showing a robust geochemical signature comprising gold, silver, antimony, and arsenic. This type of geological setting is often linked to high-potential mineral zones and presents meaningful exploration upside.

Sampling across the site has returned consistently strong results, further validating the presence of an expanding mineralised corridor. Inca Minerals has reported the detection of several gold-rich samples, as well as notable concentrations of antimony. These findings support the growing belief that Hurricane could yield high-grade shoots within broader mineralised zones.

Preparations at the site are progressing efficiently, with heavy equipment such as bulldozers now operating to establish drill pads and access tracks. A reverse circulation drill rig has already been secured, and activity on the ground is expected to transition into active drilling shortly after the completion of site works.

This momentum comes at a time when market dynamics are turning favorable for precious and specialty metals. For example, gold has maintained strong momentum throughout recent months, as tracked by ASX 200 movements and global economic trends. Meanwhile, antimony has emerged as one of the more dynamic elements in the commodities sector, with growing strategic interest tied to its industrial and technological applications.

With a footprint that now spans multiple high-grade sample zones, Hurricane is shaping into a promising exploration play for Inca Minerals. The company, with active projects also in the Northern Territory and Western Australia, continues to build a diversified portfolio of mineral assets.

As drilling commences, further insights into the scale and continuity of mineralisation at Hurricane will be key to assessing the project’s broader potential. The current progress underscores Inca’s commitment to unlocking value from its gold and critical minerals-focused exploration strategy.
