  • Extensive gold system confirmed at Wallbrook
  • Strong mineralisation continuity identified
  • More drilling planned to refine resource zones

Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) has released results from its initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Payns Prospect, part of the broader Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia. The data outlines the presence of widespread gold mineralisation across the target zone, reinforcing the potential scale of this emerging gold system. Although Nexus is not part of the ASX 200 index, investors tracking exploration activities in the region can monitor ASX 200 share price trends for wider market context.

The company completed over 40 RC drill holes, which have returned consistent gold intercepts across a sizeable area. Importantly, the campaign demonstrated strong spatial continuity in mineralisation, suggesting the presence of a coherent gold-bearing system. Nearly all drill holes intersected mineralised zones, marking a significant step forward in understanding the prospect's subsurface geology.

These latest results build on earlier aircore drilling, which had already hinted at the scale of mineralisation. The RC program has now provided further clarity, outlining areas of elevated grade that will guide the next stages of geological interpretation and target refinement.

Ongoing exploration will focus on delineating high-grade zones and testing extensions to the north, south, and down plunge. Nexus has signalled that upcoming 1-metre split sample results — expected soon — will enhance the resolution of the current dataset, helping to pinpoint zones with stronger mineralisation concentrations.

Looking ahead, the company is planning further drilling campaigns, including both infill and step-out programs. These efforts aim to enhance resource definition and add scale to the Wallbrook Project, which lies in a region known for significant gold endowment. Nexus is also evaluating additional opportunities in New South Wales and Victoria as part of its broader strategy to expand its gold and critical minerals portfolio.

Through a methodical and data-driven approach, Nexus continues to advance the Payns Prospect, with exploration efforts tailored to unlock value across its tenement package. As the geological model evolves and further results come in, market watchers can expect continued updates as the company progresses its exploration roadmap.
