  • Dynamic Metals advances exploration at Cognac West
  • Gold and copper mineralisation confirmed at key anomalies
  • New data to refine future drill planning

Dynamic Metals (ASX:DYM) has announced significant progress in its ongoing exploration at the Cognac West prospect, part of its Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia. This update follows a successful second phase of reverse circulation drilling, which confirmed the presence of both gold and copper mineralisation across multiple zones.

The latest results enhance the geological understanding of the area and support the potential development of a multi-element system. Located within a structurally complex setting near the Republican Thrust, the Cognac West area has become a strategic focus for Dynamic Metals as it intensifies its exploration efforts.

The recent drill program targeted two key surface anomalies, Anomaly A and Anomaly B. These zones were initially identified through earlier soil sampling and geophysical surveys, revealing consistent signals of gold enrichment. Follow-up drilling has now verified the continuity of gold mineralisation across multiple depths and sections. In addition, the emergence of copper zones—particularly at Anomaly B—has added a new dimension to the region's mineral profile.

Dynamic Metals has also identified sulphide minerals such as chalcopyrite and cobaltite in drill samples, indicating the presence of a polymetallic system. These minerals, typically associated with hydrothermal activity, suggest a complex geological history that may yield further insights as exploration continues.

While Dynamic Metals is not part of the ASX 100 companies, its continued development at Cognac West contributes to the growing momentum within Australia's mid-tier exploration segment. The company is leveraging historical data alongside modern geological techniques to optimise targeting and structural modelling for future drilling.

In parallel, Dynamic Metals is reprocessing older electromagnetic survey data to investigate a conductive feature beneath Anomaly B. This step could help refine its understanding of sub-surface structures and improve drill planning. Additionally, results are awaited from soil sampling at the nearby Courvoisier gold prospect, with further drilling at Chalice South also scheduled.

These exploration programs reflect Dynamic Metals’ strategic commitment to unlocking new mineral opportunities within the Widgiemooltha region. With each new round of assays and geophysical data, the company is building a clearer picture of the area's mineralisation trends, setting the stage for further advancements in gold and copper discovery.
