TechGen Metals (ASX:TG1) has initiated a strategic exploration program aimed at uncovering antimony, a critical mineral, on its Station Creek property in Western Australia.

Located approximately 70 kilometers southwest of Paraburdoo, the 54-square-kilometer Station Creek site is now the focus of a geological mapping and sampling campaign. This effort follows the discovery of antimony rock chips with grades reaching up to 7%. The high-grade findings have prompted further exploration to assess the potential for more extensive mineralization.

Geochemical surveys are currently being conducted, with results expected to guide the design and execution of a future drilling program. The data from these surveys will be crucial in selecting precise drill targets, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the exploration efforts.

As of Monday, TechGen Metals has highlighted that the area has never been explored for antimony, and no drilling has been conducted on the site, specifically within a 1.2 km by 400 m area where the high-grade rock chips were initially discovered. While these rock chips are a promising indicator, they do not guarantee the presence of substantial underground mineralization.

Historical diamond drill core from the 1990s, totaling approximately 450 meters, has been preserved at the Station Creek project site. This core provides valuable structural and geological data, offering immediate insights that could accelerate the exploration process.

Field reconnaissance work has commenced, particularly focusing on the area with the 7.05% antimony anomaly identified at the AT1 site. The ongoing exploration efforts are being prioritized to thoroughly understand the potential of this significant project, especially given the promising size of the geochemical target.

TechGen Metals’ exploration at Station Creek underscores the growing importance of securing critical minerals like antimony, which plays a vital role in various industrial applications. The company's methodical approach to exploring this untapped region reflects a commitment to unlocking its full potential while contributing to the broader supply of essential minerals.

Key Points:

  • Location: 54 sq.km. Station Creek property, 70 km southwest of Paraburdoo, WA
  • Focus: Geological mapping, sampling, and geochemical surveys for antimony
  • Historical Data: 450m of preserved diamond drill core from the 1990s
  • Key Target: 7.05% antimony anomaly at the AT1 site
  • Significance: Exploration of a critical mineral with industrial applications

TechGen Metals’ exploration strategy is set to advance the understanding of antimony potential in this underexplored region, contributing to the strategic reserves of critical minerals in Australia.
