Highlights

  • Drilling commenced at Bermol prospect in Papua Province
  • Structural corridor exploration connects Bermol to North Bermol
  • Advanced targeting underway for copper-gold zones in Indonesia

Far East Gold Ltd (ASX:FEG) is advancing its exploration initiatives across Indonesia and Australia, with the Idenburg Gold Project in Papua Province taking center stage this quarter. While the company is not currently part of the ASX 200 stock index, its focused activities across multiple tenements continue to strengthen its exploration narrative.

Expanding Prospects at Idenburg

The June quarter marked the start of drilling at the Bermol prospect within the Idenburg Gold Project. This area lies along a 4-kilometre corridor that connects Bermol with North Bermol. Early drill results have intersected key mineral zones, indicating geological consistency with past findings. These intersections, including visible sulphide mineralisation in shear zones, build confidence in the area’s mineral continuity.

In addition to drilling, surface exploration unveiled a quartz vein zone at East Bermol, situated over a kilometre from the main prospect. This discovery aligns with the broader structural corridor and suggests potential for additional exploration targets.

Mapping New Targets

Efforts to enhance future exploration have included the integration of structural analysis and geophysical surveys. A detailed UAV magnetic and LiDAR survey is now underway across the Bermol-North Bermol corridor. These high-resolution studies are designed to define key mineralisation trends and help in sharpening upcoming drill targets.

Copper-Gold Exploration at Trenggalek

In Central Java, Far East Gold has lined up an 18-hole drilling campaign at its Trenggalek Copper-Gold Project. The upcoming program will test several copper porphyry and high-grade epithermal zones. While no drilling occurred during the June quarter, preparations are nearly complete, with activities scheduled to begin shortly.

Progress at Woyla and Wonogiri Projects

Ongoing work also continues at the Woyla and Wonogiri projects. At Woyla in North Sumatra, assessment of quartz vein targets is progressing, with preliminary drilling planned later this year. At Wonogiri, the focus has been on extending exploration licenses and scoping studies to evaluate the region's copper-gold potential.

Australian Projects Set for Q4 Exploration

In Queensland, Far East Gold is preparing for drilling at Mount Clark West. With site access and drill targets finalised, activity is expected to resume in the final quarter of the year.
