- Sprintex lands three-year supply contract in China
- Agreement targets fast-growing pond-based aquaculture
- Boosts production outlook for high-efficiency blowers
Sprintex (ASX:SIX) has signed a significant agreement to supply its G15 series jet blowers to the Chinese aquaculture market. This move aligns with the company’s broader ambitions to expand its presence in large-scale industrial applications and establish a firmer foothold in the Asia-Pacific region.
The contract spans three years and involves collaboration with Guangdong Baode Technology Co, a specialist in aeration equipment. Under this private label arrangement, the blowers will be rebranded and marketed by the Chinese distributor to aquaculture farms across the country. The deal comes with recurring order commitments, which offer Sprintex stable revenue visibility and provide a strong foundation for scaling operations.
The Chinese aquaculture industry is a key part of the country's domestic food supply and export economy. With the demand for seafood rising, aquaculture operations have increasingly turned to energy-efficient and reliable technologies. In particular, pond-based farming, especially in the southern provinces such as Guangdong, has seen rapid expansion. Facilities often include hundreds of pond sheds, each requiring multiple blowers to maintain optimal water quality and oxygenation levels.
Sprintex’s G15 series blowers are designed for high-speed performance and are oil-free, aligning with the environmental and energy mandates set by Chinese authorities. The company expects the deployment of its equipment to contribute meaningfully to cost and energy efficiencies across aquaculture farms.
The agreement also enhances Sprintex’s exposure to a sector that continues to grow both in volume and sophistication. The focus on cleaner technology in aquaculture ties in with broader efforts in the region to modernize agricultural infrastructure.
While Sprintex is not part of the ASX 200 share price, its operations and strategic advancements remain of growing interest to investors seeking industrial exposure outside the traditional heavyweight categories. This development underscores how smaller players on the ASX can tap into global demand trends and carve out niche yet impactful roles across international markets.
Sprintex’s latest partnership places it in a stronger competitive position and supports the company’s vision of delivering high-efficiency technologies to industries undergoing transformation. The successful rollout of the G15 series blowers in China may open additional opportunities across similar markets in Asia and beyond.
