Australian based natural skin care company, Skin Elements Limited (ASX:SKN) received encouraging outcomes of the test conducted in an independent laboratory. The company’s SE FormulaTM demonstrated 99.99% effectiveness against Feline Coronavirus, which is a surrogate of Coronavirus COVID-19. The test results have validated the efficacy of the SE FormulaTM.

The alcohol-free SE FormulaTM provides maximum protection and addresses the growing skin sensitivity concern due to repetitive use of alcohol-based formulation. The Skin Elements’ goal is to develop all nature and alcohol-free active products. It focusses on offering a natural solution that provides higher germ protection and control compared to existing products.

Notably, Skin Elements following the recent launch of the Invisi Shield® Natural had submitted the product for laboratory testing. The company has developed SE FormulaTM, which is an anti-microbial all-natural formulation containing the natural plant-based extract.

The United Kingdom-based Microbiological Solutions Ltd (MSL), a leading world-recognised, independent microbiology testing laboratory undertook the testing. The laboratory is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and holds UKAS accreditation 4045.

Invisi Shield® Natural Life

Invisi Shield® Natural Life is an all-natural sanitiser established in 2017 under the Skin Elements’ research program. Since then, Invisi Shield® Natural Life has gone into commercial production and launch. The company has developed an extensive suite of natural and organic skin care products and Invisi Shield® Natural Life compliments to the product range.

Production of the natural, alcohol-free sanitiser has commenced, and Invisi Shield® Natural Life can be directly purchased from the company’s online store www.sknlife.com.au.

The market analysis by Grand View Research has indicated that Covid-19 outbreak has stimulated the sanitiser market. The demand, according to the Research Report, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 22.6% from 2020 to 2027.

Invisi Shield® Natural Life is deemed to be personal cosmetics product complying with Therapeutic Goods (Excluded Goods) Determination 2018 and therefore does not require TGA registration. Skincare Elements is not making virucidal label claims for the product’s effectiveness.

The company is exploring the regulatory TGA requirements concerning product claims. Meanwhile, it is also Investigating the use of SE FormulaTM in a variety of applications for InvisiShield Natural Life. No TGA registration applications or product claims have been made at this time.

Independent Laboratory Testing

The SE Formula Independent laboratory quantitative suspension test was undertaken to widely accepted European testing standard BS EN 14476. The standard is designed for testing the efficacy of SE Formula’s TM against the Feline Coronavirus.

Feline coronavirus is considered an acceptable surrogate for COVID-19. Both Feline coronavirus and COVID-19 coronavirus belong to family Coronaviridae.
