In a strategic move that will expand its market reach, Forbidden Foods Ltd (ASX:FFF), has executed an exclusive agreement with Uway Australia Pty Ltd for its related entity, H&W Food Sdn Bhd. The deal will allow Forbidden Foods to sell, market and distribute its Blue Dinosaur® range of plant-based snack bars in Malaysia. It is the first export agreement for Blue Dinosaur® into Asia.
Forbidden Foods, operating since 2020, is a multi-brand premium food, beverage, and ingredients company. Its business is related to infant, toddler, health, snacking, and plant-based markets.
Uway Australia and its partners H&W Food offer services related to sales, marketing, and distribution to top brands in Australia. H&W Food has over 45 years of combined experience in high-value premium brands and products.
Key features of the contract
- The deal aims to achieve a total sale of AU$810,000 by 30 June 2024 with H&W Food helping the brand with offline distribution in the region
- An initial purchase order of AU$30,000 supports the distribution agreement
- H&W Food has over 1,500 distribution points in Malaysia. It represents some of the popular brands, namely Golden Circle, Nestle and Cadbury, in the Malaysian market
- Blue Dinosaur® range will launch in selected Cold Storage and Mercato supermarkets. These are owned and operated by Dairy Farm International, a top pan-Asian retailer with more than 10,200 outlets across Asia
- A huge population of Malaysia, comprising mostly the advanced middle class, provides an excellent opportunity for Blue Dinosaur® to grow and diversify its geographical revenue
