Highlights:

  • Four ASX-listed companies, Champion Iron Limited, Premier Investment Limited, Tower Limited, and ALS Limited, are expected to pay dividends to their shareholders in the upcoming weeks.
  • Today the share price of ASX-listed iron ore company Champion Iron traded 7.664% lower at AU$5.060 per share on ASX at 2:15 PM AEST.

The dividend pay date is coming nearer for several ASX-listed companies, including Champion Iron Limited (ASX:CIA), Premier Investment Limited (ASX:PMV), Tower Limited (ASX:TWR), and ALS Limited (ASX:ALQ). These four ASX-listed are expected to make dividend payments to their shareholders in the coming weeks.

The payment date is the scheduled day when a declared stock dividend is paid to eligible investors. Noticeably, the pay date is always followed by an ex-dividend date.

The ex-dividend date is the first day when a stock trades without the benefit of its next dividend. It is often seen that the price of a stock falls on the ex-dividend date because the value of the stock decreases without the dividend.
