Highlights

Key pointers from the ASX closing today
- OZ Minerals Limited (ASX:OZL) and NIB Holdings Limited (ASX:NHF) gained the most on the index, moving ahead 3.95% and 3.19%, respectively.
- Lovisa Holdings Ltd (ASX:LOV) and Coronado Global Resources Inc (ASX:CRN) fell 7.13% and 6.62% respectively.
- Over the last five days, the index is virtually unchanged, but is down 3.93% for the last year to date.
- Seven out of 11 sectors closed in green today.
- Telecommunications services was the biggest gainer, advancing 1%, followed by industrials, which ended 0.89% up, while energy fell 0.27%.
- The All-Ordinaries Index gained 0.21%.
Newsmakers
Strandline Resources (ASX:STA): At its Coburn mineral sands project in Western Australia, Strandline Resources Limited announced in an ASX filing that it has achieved commercial production of Heavy Mineral Concentrate (HMC) product.
The in-pit mining units, WCP, and related circuits' ore commissioning is well under way; saleable HMC product is being produced, and stockpile inventories are increasing.
Meanwhile, shares of Strandline Resources closed at AU$0.48 each, up 5.56% on ASX today.
Noronex (ASX:NRX): In order to speed up drilling and exploration on its Kalahari Copper Belt prospects in Namibia, Noronex Limited reported receiving commitments to raise AU$1.5 million.
The money raised will be put to use for general operating capital, placement expenses, drilling and exploration of the company's Kalahari Copper Belt properties in Namibia, as well as ongoing development of its other projects in Namibia and Canada.
Meanwhile, shares of Noronex Ltd closed at AU$0.030 each, down 3.23% on ASX today.

The S&P 500 fell 0.31% to 3,946.56. The Dow Jones was down 0.022% to 33,546.32. The NASDAQ Composite lost 0.35% to 11,144.96, and the small-cap Russell 2000 decreased 0.76% to 1,839.12.
In Asia, the Asia Dow lost 0.48%, Nikkei in Japan fell 0.089% while the Hang Seng in Hong Kong was 0.70% up and the Shanghai Composite in China increased by 0.25% at 4.23 PM AEDT.
Commodities markets
Crude Oil WTI was spotted trading at US$82.23/bbl, while brent was at US$90.37/bbl at 4.24 PM AEDT.
Gold was at US$1761.42 an ounce, copper was at US$3.69/Lbs, and iron ore was at US$97.50/T at 4.24 PM AEDT.
