OpenDNA’s RooLife platform to Sell Australian Tour Packages in China- Share Price Zoomed Up By 19.565%

On 14 March 2019, OpenDNA Limited (ASX:OPN), a company engaged in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and e-Commerce marketing, announced that it has entered into a two years agreement to market, and sell the Australian tour packages, with Sightseeing Pass Australia (www.sightseeingpassaustralia.com) directly to the Chinese tourists and travelers through its RooLife platform and websites.

For the company, it is also an entry into the tourism sector by engaging the tour operators and tourist destinations in Australia, where the payment collection of the tourism products will be processed through WeChat and Alipay from Chinese tourists who resides in China as well as Australia along with commission on all products that will be retained by the company. The company’s s RooLife platform will also help in generating valuable insights into Chinese tourist travel plans. The insights would be beneficial for the company, as they would help them to additionally market the high-quality Australian products online, through the RooLife e-Commerce platform.

The selling of the Australian tour packages supports the company’s marketing strategy for promoting various high-quality Australian brands. Since China is the most populous country in the world, the company has been making efforts to enter into the Chinese market, which indicates the company’s broader picture in mind to target the Chinese customers.

OPN, in association with the Sightseeing Pass Australia, will be providing tour package marketing material in Mandarin. Further, Sightseeing Pass Australia, while delivering all tour packages, will focus on guided tours, where a guide will be provided well-versed in Mandarin language.

The partnership between Sightseeing Pass Australia and the company will open doors for the company towards the $1.43 million inbound tourism sector, where the Chinese customers are presently spending $10 billion every year. The statistics say, that the Chinese tourists have increased by 11.9% annually and the forecast says, that in the next decade this value will reach 3.9 million visitors, expected to spend $26 billion by 2026-27.

This integration of OPN’s China marketing and sales capabilities, with the online travel platform of Sightseeing Pass Australia will provide access to above 350 tours, as well as multi-attraction Discounted Passes. This integration also indicates that OpenDNA, by bundling multiple tours and attractions together, would enable the Chinese visitors to buy Discounted Passes before they travel so that they can plan their holiday in an easy manner.

Yesterday on 13 March 2019, OPN signed an agreement with Eve Investment’s Meluka Honey to drive online sales for its honey products in China, through its RooLife e-Commerce platform.

Since the beginning of 2019, the company was seen targeting the vast Chinese market, whether it is related to pharmaceutical sector, health care segment or the tourism sector, promoting its RooLife platform to assist the business in driving sales through it. With such market expansion and penetration activities, the company looks promising to establish a strong foothold.

In the previous six months, OPN has generated a return of 31.43%. By the end of the trading period on 14 March 2019, the closing price of the shares of OPN was A$0.055, up by 19.565% as compared to the previous trading day’s closing price. The company has a market capitalization of A$9.52 million with 206.87 million outstanding shares.
