In contrast, profit after tax was lower and stood at $247.95 million, a fall of 7.1% over the year. Following are some of the key points for investors:

Brickworks Surges on ASX after returning 6% Higher Dividend in FY 2019
Brickworks Limited (ASX: BKW) made an announcement about the record underlying NPAT of $234 million from continuing operations, a rise of 4% on FY 2018. Further, it was stated that the total revenue increased by 17% and stood at $919 million in FY 2019. The statutory NPAT declined by 12% to stand at $155 million in FY 2019.
Brickworks also unveiled final dividend of 38 cents a share, which took the FY 2019 total dividend to 57 cents a share, reflecting a rise of 6% as compared to the prior year.
