A groundbreaking initiative is making waves in the investment world with the launch of the Future Generation Women Fund, an investment fund exclusively managed by high-profile female fund managers. The fund is designed to advance gender equality and economic opportunities for women and children. It is the latest project from Future Generation, which is known for its innovative approach to philanthropy and investment.

The Future Generation Women Fund will channel investments into Australian and global equities while aligning itself with benchmarks like the S&P/ASX300 Accumulation and MSCI AC World Index. The fund has started accepting applications, offering a unique investment model with no management or performance fees. Instead, it commits to donating 1% of its average monthly net assets to local non-profit organizations supporting women’s economic equality and children’s development.

The Australian equities component of the fund is supported by a roster of prominent female fund managers, including Catherine Allfrey from WaveStone Capital (ASX:WAV), Katie Hudson from Yarra Capital Management (ASX:YCM), and Dawn Kanelleas, the head of small and mid-cap companies at First Sentier Investors (ASX:FSI). Each brings a wealth of expertise in equity markets and a shared vision for fostering equality.

On the global equities front, the fund’s team features Fleur Wright from Northcape Capital (ASX:NCC), Vihari Ross from Antipodes Partners (ASX:ANT), and Armina Rosenberg, co-founder of Minotaur, whose new fund has already shown notable performance with a 7.7% return in November. These managers represent a new wave of leadership in investment, further breaking barriers in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

The Future Generation Women Fund exemplifies a commitment to fostering inclusion and advancing female representation in finance. By combining investment expertise with philanthropic goals, it is set to create a meaningful impact. With its model of empowering women and supporting non-profits, the fund represents a fresh perspective on the potential of finance to drive social change.

The launch of this fund marks a significant milestone in championing female leadership while addressing critical societal challenges. Through its innovative structure and socially conscious mission, it highlights the value of diversity in decision-making and long-term impact.
