  • Moca Chain to decentralise identity via EVM-compatible blockchain
  • Launch targets Q3 testnet, Q4 mainnet in 2025
  • MOCA Coin to power staking, gas, and data validation

Animoca Brands Corporation Ltd (ASX:AB1) has introduced a forward-looking initiative through its core project, The Moca Foundation, announcing the launch of Moca Chain, a purpose-built Layer 1 blockchain network. This innovation aims to shift the control of digital identity and data verification from centralised platforms to individuals, devices, and AI agents.

Moca Chain is designed as a modular, Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM)-compatible chain, enabling privacy-preserving identity solutions that can scale across industries including healthcare, recruitment, finance, and advertising. It is slated to launch its testnet in Q3 2025, followed by the mainnet in Q4 2025.

Key to its ecosystem will be the MOCA Coin, a utility token used for gas, staking, data generation, and verification processes within the chain. It also supports cross-chain identity protocols through decentralised storage, zero-knowledge TLS proofing (zkTLS), and oracle interoperability.

Moca Chain will be integrated with AIR Kit, Moca Network’s software development kit (SDK) for identity and reputation. This synergy allows developers and protocols to issue reusable, privacy-preserving credentials using zero-knowledge proofs, empowering users to monetise and authenticate their data securely—without depending on centralised API services.

This strategic rollout aligns with growing momentum across S&P/ASX 200 in the tech and digital transformation sectors. As global demand for self-sovereign identity solutions intensifies, Moca Chain positions itself as a foundational infrastructure player.

The Moca Network already boasts integration with major Web2 platforms, reportedly reaching over 700 million users worldwide via applications like OK Cashbag and One Football. These pre-established channels could serve as a fertile entry point for Moca Chain into broader Web3 ecosystems.

The Moca Foundation, governed by Moca DAO, champions decentralised governance and collaborative culture. Its vision is to foster a globally interoperable cultural economy powered by MOCA Coin, positioning the chain to potentially disrupt conventional data ownership frameworks.

In a landscape where digital identity and data privacy are at the forefront, Moca Chain’s debut could provide the infrastructure backbone needed to push boundaries in the decentralised internet era—especially for those tracking blockchain advances among top ASX200 tech-oriented companies.
