Highlights
- Drilling at the Mt Magnet Range Project is scheduled in August 2025.
- RC drilling will target gold mineralisation along a 7km strike length across key geological zones.
- Initial drilling will focus on the Wrangler and Defender prospects, identified through detailed mapping and historical data.
- Results from mineralogical and alteration studies of legacy drill chip samples are expected by September 2025.
Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) has announced that preparations are well advanced for a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Mt Magnet Range Project in Western Australia. The project is located immediately south of the historic Brittania Well gold mine in the Mt Magnet district.
The planned program comprises approximately 1,500m of RC drilling targeting priority gold prospects identified through recent fieldwork. These targets are located along a strike length of nearly 7km spanning multiple geological settings. With all required regulatory approvals secured, drilling is expected to commence in August 2025.

Overview of Drill Targets
The drilling program will focus on two high-priority targets identified through recent detailed geological mapping and analysis of historical data.
- Wrangler Prospect: Drilling will test potential extensions of mineralisation from the nearby Britannia Well gold mine.
- Defender Prospect: Drilling will target an area of historical prospecting, located 500–1,000m south of Britannia Well.

Next Steps in Exploration Program
Alongside the upcoming RC drilling, the company is focused on advancing the ongoing geochemical sampling programs targeting emerging prospects. Furthermore, results from mineralogical and alteration studies of legacy drill chip samples are expected by September 2025.
Overview of Mt Magnet Range Project
This project is located in the Mt Magnet region, an area with multi-million-ounce gold mining centres. The area is home to major mining operations by well-established companies such as Ramelius Resources and Westgold Resources, with significant exploration success from emerging players such as Ordell Minerals.
Historically, exploration efforts within the Mt Magnet region have focused on narrow gold mineralisation models.
The company’s Range Project comprises 17 tenements covering approximately 20km². The analysis of historic exploration data has identified several drill targets. One of these, the Wrangler Prospect, features tourmaline and gold-bearing felsic volcanics that extend from the nearby Britannia Open Pit.
