Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX: TEM) has initiated surface geochemistry sampling at its 100% owned Yalgoo holdings to expand the >4km Remorse Target as well as sampling at new targets nearby new gold discoveries. Alongside, the firm has sought help from the traditional owners of the region, the Badimia people for cultural heritage advisory and other specialised services in the region.
The Remorse copper, zinc, nickel, rare earth element (REE) target is a coherent multi-kilometre anomaly obtained from a surface sampling program in the eastern portion of the project.
Details of surface geochem extension program
Tempest has begun a wide-spaced surface sample program with the objective of extending the known surface geochemical anomalies at Remorse.
Also, the company plans to start surface sampling at other targets in the new southeastern tenement extensional area. The sampling will be done at the Sanity target as well. The target sits along strike (200m) from the emerging Rothchild gold discovery, being explored by Warriedar Resources Ltd (ASX:WA8).
Regional heritage work
The company has established regional traditional owner partnership, under which the work has also been kicked off. The goal is to receive cultural heritage advisory in the region in which the company is operating.
Near-term plans
The ASX-listed company is focused on completing the ongoing field programs. It is likely that the assay results from the geochem survey will be delivered by the fourth quarter of the year.
Meanwhile, TEM remains focused on advancing the activities which are in process at different exploration fronts including drilling.
