Highlights
- High-grade gold intercepts of up to 1m @ 15.83 g/t Au have been reported at the Yidby Gold Project.
- The broadest gold mineralisation intersection to date has been identified in RC hole YBRC136.
- Modelling indicates a north-westerly plunging system that remains open along strike and at depth.
- New target areas have been identified for the next drilling campaign planned in the first quarter of 2026.
Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) has released new assay results from reverse circulation drilling at the Yidby Gold Project in the Mid-West of Western Australia. The latest results generated from the resampling of 4m composite samples highlight high-grade gold intercepts, including 1m @ 15.83 g/t Au and 2m @ 10.2 g/t Au, outlining the potential for a significant gold system within the project. The results also define broad 0.5 g/t, 100m+ mineralised horizons.
The most extensive gold mineralisation intersected to date has been recorded in hole YBRC136, where a total mineralised envelope of 108m @ 0.61 g/t Au from 71m was identified. Within this broad zone, several higher-grade intervals were returned, including
- 35m @ 1.35 g/t Au from 71m including,
- 1m @ 15.83 g/t Au from 80m including,
- 2m @ 10.72 g/t Au from 100m
Additional high-grade zones identified
Further downhole results from YBRC136 also returned 6m @ 4.29 g/t Au from 177m, including 2m @ 12.54 g/t Au from 177m. These deeper intercepts indicate the potential mineralisation to repeat and being open at depth and down plunge.
Another notable result was recorded in RC hole YBRC137, which intersected 12m @ 1.01 g/t Au from 164m, including a higher-grade interval of 4m @ 1.62 g/t Au from the same depth.
Mineralisation remains open
The drilling has highlighted broad 0.5g/t, 100m+ mineralised horizons, with peak grades of up to 15.83 g/t Au.
Mineralisation continues to extend both at depth and along strike, with structural analysis indicating a north-westerly plunging system that remains open at depth and along strike. The findings have identified new target areas for next drilling campaign, planned in the first quarter of 2026.

Geological setting of the Yidby Project
The Yidby Gold Project is located at the southern end of the Yalgoo-Singleton Greenstone Belt, known to host significant gold, base-metal, and iron mineralisation and extends over approximately 190 km.
Yidby is situated between several established mining projects, including the Minjar Gold Project, Golden Grove–Scuddles–Gossan Hill VHMS system, and the Mount Gibson Gold Project. Gold prospects at Yidby occur within multiply deformed ultramafic and basaltic rocks.
Most of the drill holes completed have intersected gold mineralisation across the Yidby Gold Project prospects, supporting the view that the mineralising system is extensive and continues both along strike and at depth.
