Surefire Resources NL (ASX:SRN) has commenced magnetite concentrate production from its Victory Bore Iron-Vanadium-Titanium Project, situated in Western Australia. This production initiative follows discussions with external parties keen to evaluate Victory Bore’s magnetite concentrate.
As part of this effort, approximately 700kg of sample material has been collected from the project’s main ore zone and is currently under processing at Nagrom Laboratories in Perth.
The collected sample will undergo a standard beneficiation process. The beneficiation process includes crushing, grinding, and magnetic separation, consistent with the methods utilised in the pre-feasibility study of the Victory Bore Project. This process is undertaken to yield a high-grade magnetite concentrate. After this, further downstream processing will be conducted to produce pig-iron, vanadium pentoxide, titanium slag, ferrovanadium, and high purity iron. After completion of beneficiation, the magnetite concentrate will be transported for technical evaluation.
This program underpins Surefire’s development pathway for its flagship Victory Bore project and aligns with ongoing discussions with companies based in Saudi Arabia, the Middle East, and Europe.
SRN shares were trading at AU$0.004 per share at the time of drafting on 18 December 2024.
