Revolver Resources Holdings Limited (ASX:RRR) has announced a significant milestone in the advancement of its Dianne Copper Mine Project, located in north-west Queensland. The the completion of the Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) for the Dianne Copper Mine supported by a AU$1.3 million grant from the Queensland Government’s Critical Minerals and Battery Technology Fund, marks a key achievement in the company’s plans to fast-track the restart of copper mining operations.

Key Elements of the SX/EW process FEED

The FEED work included the following key elements:

  • Column-scale leach testing for both oxide and sulphide ores.
  • Production of test cathode copper samples.
  • Structural, mechanical, and electrical designs for processing infrastructure.
  • Design of the crushing and agglomeration circuit.
  • Finalisation of the Process Flow Diagram (PFD).
  • Process and instrumentation design.

The successful completion of metallurgical testing and engineering design program provides confidence in the project’s future process mechanics and confirms its overall technical viability.

Details of the Queensland Government Grant

Revolver was awarded a AU$1.3 million grant from the Queensland Government in February 2024 to fast-track key technical and design workstreams for the Dianne Copper Mine Project. This grant supports the company’s goal of quickly restarting copper mining and processing operations at the project.

Next Steps

The next major milestone for Revolver under the grant program is the completion of the site engineering design at the mine, which is expected in the coming months. This will allow the company to receive the full AU$1.3 million grant allocation.

In addition, the company expects to achieve the FID milestone in the coming months with the goal of producing its first LME-grade cathode in 2025.

RRR shares were trading at AU$0.033 per share at the time of writing on 20 February 2025.
