Radiopharm Theranostics (ASX:RAD), a developer of radiopharmaceutical products for diagnostic and therapeutic applications, is set to host a key opinion leader webinar on 25 September at 10:30am AEST. The webinar will explore the current challenges and unmet needs in radiographic detection of relapsed brain metastases and implications for therapeutic approaches, provide background on Pivalate as a novel imaging agent, and outline its path to approval and commercial potential. A Q&A session will follow.
About Pivalate
F18-Pivalate is a novel radiotracer designed for detecting, characterising, and monitoring progression of glioblastoma and relapsed brain metastases. It targets fatty acid synthase, which is selectively overexpressed in tumors but not in normal brain cells, enabling a potentially transformational approach in the imaging and monitoring of brain metastases.
Unlike FDG PET and MRI, which face challenges in distinguishing necrosis, inflammation, and recurrence, Pivalate offers a more precise and reliable tool for clinicians, highlighted the company update.
