Platina Resources Limited (ASX:PGM) has announced encouraging results from its recently completed Phase 2 aircore drilling program at the 100%-owned Beete Project in Western Australia. The campaign, consisting of 38 drill holes for 1,338m, has outlined new areas of interest for follow-up exploration work.
The Beete Gold Project is located about 50km southeast of Norseman, a well-known gold and lithium mining hub. The project covers 139km² under Exploration Licence EL63/2193.
Phase 2 Drilling Results
- The program followed up on 2024 Phase 1 drilling, which was wide-spaced at 320m by 640m intervals.
- The latest drilling targeted five anomalous lines and has successfully defined two new prospect areas.
Significant intercepts include: - 1m @ 0.13 g/t Au from 17m in BEAC206, within a broader zone of 7m @ 52ppb Au from 16m.
- Bottom-of-hole gold values ranged from 3ppb to 82ppb, confirming the gold potential of the targeted zones.
Platina’s next steps at the Beete Project include conducting geophysical surveys to refine exploration targets and reverse circulation (RC) drilling to test mineralisation at depth. The company also plans additional follow-up work across the Beete mine area and the two newly defined prospect zones to further evaluate their potential.
