The ASX-listed company is developing lithium projects, with focus on the highly prospective James Bay region in Québec. It aims to build local, smaller-scale, downstream-focused refineries, to address the challenge facing the Canadian lithium industry.

- LU7 appointed Hatch Ltd, a renowned global engineering company with extensive lithium experience, to conduct an engineering study for the design of the proposed 16,000 ton per annum battery-grade lithium carbonate refinery, as part of the Quebec Lithium Processing Hub (QLPH) Strategy. Hatch has successfully completed a location study for the optimal site selection for the refinery. The study results highlighted four potential locations in the Québec region. The company has initiated discussions with the Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour (SPIPB) concerning the Bécancour Industrial Park.
- The company reported that Primero Group Limited is conducting the engineering study on its multi-purpose concentrator at Québec Hub, at an impressive pace. The final design flow sheet defines a four-stage crushing process to generate crushed ore of 0.85-6mm size. As of now, Primero has delivered a Block Flow Diagram (BFD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), a Mass Balance along with Process Design Criteria (PDC).
- LU7 had a meeting with the Québec government and Investment Québec during the COP 28 Climate Conference in Dubai, the UAE, outlining its strategy to address the lithium downstream challenge in Canada.
- The company has completed its 2023 summer/fall exploration work programme at the Apollo Lithium Project. Using the final soil lab analysis, LU7 has drafted a strategy for 2024 for drilling along a major east-west trending fault shear corridor feature stretching from the Apollo project to Winsome Resources Ltd's Adina Lithium Project to the east.
