Highlights
- Haranga Resources has commenced the second-phase aircore drilling program at the Ibel South Gold Project.
- Program approved for up to 4,000m, providing flexibility to extend beyond current 3,000m plan.
- Drilling aims to extend maiden program’s high-grade gold zones and test new targets..
- Approximately 800 composite samples to be submitted to SGS Kédougou for assay.
- Follow-up drilling planned for 2026 to test depth extensions.
Haranga Resources Limited (ASX:HAR) (FRA:65E0) has commenced the second-phase of aircore (AC) drilling campaign at its Ibel South Gold Project in southeastern Senegal. The program follows the receipt of all administrative and environmental approvals, including authorisation from the Department of Forestry for up to 4,000m of drilling, providing flexibility to extend the program if warranted.
The drill rig, operated by Forage Technique Eau (FTE), has now mobilised on site. The campaign is designed to advance the company’s understanding of the project’s mineralised structures and further define targets for follow-up drilling.

Details of 3,000m Drilling Program
The current drilling phase comprises 3,000m across five lines and is expected to take approximately 20 days to complete. Drill rig and field teams have arrived on site to commence dual day/night shifts to complete the program efficiently. Drilling is expected to begin on 8 November 2025.
After drilling is completed, the on-site geological team will begin sample preparation, which will include sun-drying where necessary to maintain consistent moisture levels. The preparation phase is expected to continue for approximately 20 days beyond the drilling period and will involve compositing samples into four-metre intervals for laboratory assay submission. The company expects to generate approximately 800 composite samples, which will be dispatched to the SGS sample preparation laboratory in Kédougou in early December 2025. Assay results are expected before the end of the year.
High-Grade Results from Maiden Program
This campaign follows the company’s maiden AC drilling program, which included 41 holes for a total of 2,000m and was completed earlier in 2025. The initial phase returned promising gold intersections, including:
- 20m at 6.54 g/t Au from 12m (including 4m at 14.64 g/t Au) in hole 25-IBS-AC-008,
- 10m at 6.35 g/t Au from 44m (including 6m at 8.55 g/t Au) in hole 25-IBS-AC-016, which ended in mineralisation,
- 4m at 14.83 g/t Au from 8m in hole 25-IBS-AC-017,
- 4m @ 4.92 g/t Au from 4m in hole 25-IBS-AC-007, and
- 8m at 1.58 g/t Au from 24m in hole 25-IBS-AC-010.
Program Objectives and Next Steps
The second-phase drilling program aims to confirm and extend the mineralised zones identified in the maiden campaign and test new targets identified through re-assay data and structural interpretation. The program also aims to provide additional definition to support the planned drilling follow-up program scheduled for 2026.
Planning is already in progress for a 2026 drilling program aimed at testing depth extensions beneath the mineralisation identified in the maiden campaign and evaluating priority targets not covered in the initial or current aircore programs.
