3 ASX 200 Stocks Charging High - SGM, CGC And NEC

The week ended on a positive note on the back of a mixed session on Wall Street. Utility, banks and real estate companies have pushed the benchmark higher. Both all ordinaries and S&P/ASX 200 are above the 5900 levels. Three stocks charging higher in this scenario on the ASX are discussed as follows.

SIMS METAL MANAGEMENT LIMITED (ASX:SGM) – The company expects underlying EBIT of approximately $110 million which is subject to management sign off, audit review and Board sign off. Its results for 1H FY19 will be released by the company on 20 February 2019. As compared to 1H FY18 which is driven by an increase in internal recharges, despite a lower AUD/USD exchange rate North-America Metals had EBIT contraction in 1H FY19. Due to the uncertainty surrounding trade wars, tariffs and Turkey’s position the volatility in the market has steadily increased over 1H FY19. The stock is trading up by 6.17% and stands at $9.980. The EPS of the stock is 1.011 AUD, and P/E of the stock is 9.300 which is decent against the peer basket. The market capitalization as at January 25, 2019 is $1.91 million. Â

COSTA GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED (ASX:CGC) – For the six-month interim financial period ended 30th December 2018, the results of the company will be announced on Wednesday 27th February 2019. At the existing facility in Guyra, northern New South Wales the company will add 10 hectares bringing the total hectares to 40 and this investment at a capital cost of $67 million also involves enhancement of the produce packing capability and expansion of nursery capacity. The stock is trading up by 3.882% and stands at $5.620. The EPS of the stock is 0.360 AUD, and P/E of the stock is 15.001 which is decent against the peer basket. The market capitalization as at January 25, 2019 is $1.73 million.

NINE ENTERTAINMENT CO. HOLDINGS LIMITED (ASX:NEC) – On Thursday, 21 February 2019 the company will be releasing its H1 FY19 results. Post-implementation to a total number of shares of 1,705,393,253, the company Nine, has issued 834,020,062 new ordinary nine shares. The company announced three non-executive Directors Ms. Mickie Rosen, Mr. Nick Falloon and Mr. Patrick Allaway. A further c$30m has now been identified, $50m of which will be realized by June 2019. The stock is trading up by 2.649% and stands at $1.550. The EPS of the stock is 0.240 AUD, and P/E of the stock is 6.290 which is decent against the peer basket. The market capitalization as at January 25, 2019 is $1.71 billion.
