Tempest Minerals reports additional metallurgical results at Remorse iron discovery
Internal development studies and drilling initiatives planned for Yalgoo Project
Remorse confirmed as a magnetite-rich system with low impurities
Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM), listed on the All Ordinaries, continues to progress exploration at its Remorse iron discovery within the Yalgoo Project in Western Australia. The company has received final results from its Davis Tube Recovery testing program, reinforcing confidence in the quality of iron concentrate produced from the discovery.
Located on the eastern margin of the Yalgoo Project, the Remorse prospect is defined as a large magnetite-bearing system. Initial testing commenced in 2024, and the most recent batch of results further supports the prospect’s potential as a development-stage magnetite project.
Metallurgical Testing Reinforces Quality of Iron Concentrate
Tempest has confirmed that eight additional samples from the Davis Tube Recovery program have demonstrated strong iron concentrate outcomes with low impurity levels. These findings align with previously released results and confirm the geological consistency of the magnetite mineralisation at Remorse.
The company’s technical team is reviewing the full dataset to assess the suitability of the deposit for future processing and extraction activities. The data will inform internal assessments and support decisions on resource definition and future fieldwork planning.
Development Activities Planned for Remorse Prospect
Following the positive testing results, Tempest has outlined a plan to undertake further internal development studies focused on Remorse. This includes proposed infill drilling to enhance geological understanding and resource continuity, as well as potential follow-up metallurgical and geotechnical assessments.
The Remorse discovery remains central to Tempest’s forward strategy, with upcoming work aimed at evaluating the scale and quality of the mineralised system. In addition to infill efforts, extensional drilling is being considered to explore additional zones of magnetite mineralisation across the broader project area.
Exploration Portfolio Spanning Multiple Commodities
Tempest Minerals operates a diversified portfolio of mineral projects across Western Australia, with a primary focus on iron and gold. The company’s key assets include the Yalgoo, Mount Magnet, Five Wheels, and Elephant projects. Each of these holdings contributes to a multi-commodity exploration strategy designed to investigate a range of geological systems and mineralisation styles.
The broader Yalgoo Project area has been the focus of sustained exploration, with both base and precious metals targets identified across various tenements. The Remorse discovery adds an iron ore component to this portfolio and has emerged as a standout result from recent field campaigns.
Ongoing Field Season and Resource Expansion Plans
While development planning at Remorse is underway, Tempest also intends to maintain momentum across its gold exploration assets. A number of regional targets are expected to be tested through upcoming drilling programs, aimed at extending known mineralisation and identifying new zones across existing tenures.
The company is managing multiple workstreams across its WA holdings, integrating drilling, geophysics, and metallurgical testing as part of a cohesive exploration strategy. Remorse will continue to be a focal point as metallurgical, structural, and geological data are refined in preparation for further studies.
