Sunshine Metals progresses gold and silver development across Ravenswood Consolidated
Scoping study integrates multiple resource zones including Carrington and Gold Panel
Upgrades planned for Shallow Gold prospect ahead of 2026 study completion
Sunshine Metals Ltd (ASX:SHN), listed on the ASX 300, is progressing its Ravenswood Consolidated Project in North Queensland with an extensive development program targeting gold and silver extraction. The company’s upcoming Liontown Gold Scoping Study is set to bring new clarity to multiple prospects within the region as Sunshine continues work to define and upgrade its mineral resources.
The initiative forms part of the broader strategy to commercialise shallow and high-grade deposits across its consolidated tenement package.
Liontown Study to Drive High-Grade Resource Development
The Liontown Gold Study encompasses four distinct resource zones and is scheduled for completion by early 2026. The study will address a defined portion of the total resource base, aiming to refine project economics and development scope. A particular focus is being placed on mineralisation sources that are both shallow and high in grade, forming a foundational part of the commercialisation pathway.
Recent efforts have included detailed drilling activities and reinterpretation of historical exploration results, providing greater definition to subsurface geology and mineral continuity.
Shallow Gold Prospect to Undergo Resource Upgrade
Sunshine Metals has flagged plans to transition the Shallow Gold prospect’s resource from inferred to indicated classification. The move follows a completed reverse circulation drill program comprising dozens of holes across a targeted grid pattern. This drill density has allowed for tighter spacing and improved geological confidence, aligning with Sunshine’s objective of advancing the resource for near-term planning.
Updated geological models now incorporate void mapping and stratigraphic data, with historical drilling indicating consistent mineralised widths across target intervals.
Carrington Fresh and Gold Panel Support Broader Study Scope
The Carrington Fresh deposit holds an indicated gold and silver resource, supporting its inclusion within the current study. Additionally, the Gold Panel prospect features both indicated and inferred classifications and has produced some of the strongest mineralisation results across the Ravenswood project.
Sunshine aims to consolidate these sources into a cohesive development framework, maximising synergies across exploration and infrastructure. These two prospects, situated in proximity to shallow mineralised zones, offer logistical benefits to Sunshine’s staged approach.
Conference Participation to Showcase Project Advancements
Sunshine Metals will present its strategic developments at the upcoming Noosa Mining Investor Conference, scheduled for late July at Peppers Noosa Resort. The event will provide a platform for Sunshine to outline its progress and development roadmap for Ravenswood to the broader mining and exploration community.
The company’s presence at this industry event reflects ongoing efforts to engage stakeholders and maintain visibility as it moves toward a comprehensive scoping outcome.
