Highlights

  • Silver North Resources prepares 10-hole follow-up program at Haldane Project

  • Drilling to test strike and depth of silver-lead-zinc veins at Main Fault zone

  • Bighorn target may also be drilled based on available budget and timeline

Silver North Resources (TSX-V:SNAG), a Canadian mineral exploration company, is advancing its Haldane silver-lead-zinc project located in the Keno Hill Silver District in Yukon Territory, Canada. The company operates within the broader context of Canadian juniors exploring precious metals, with increasing activity seen in the sector amid elevated commodity prices. Although not part of the Australian exchanges, the company’s developments may interest those tracking global exploration alongside domestic indices such as the All Ordinaries.

Follow-Up Program Targets Main Fault Zone Silver Veins

Silver North has announced a ten-hole diamond drilling program designed to follow up on the recent discovery at the Main Fault target within the Haldane Project. The program aims to test the extent of silver-lead-zinc mineralisation across strike and depth, building upon previously reported intersections.

The Main Fault zone hosts a wide structural corridor with multiple silver-bearing veins identified to date. The proposed program includes a series of drillhole fans targeting areas northeast and southwest of the discovery hole, using stepped sections to explore continuity and geometry of mineralised zones.

Technical Partners and Project Timeline Confirmed

Paycore Diamond Drilling has been selected to carry out the drilling operations, while Hardline Exploration Services will support staffing and logistics at the field camp. The campaign is scheduled to begin around mid-August.

One hole will specifically test the mineralisation continuity down-dip from the previous HLD24-30 drillhole, while others will investigate adjacent sections within the same geological trend. Adjustments to drill locations may occur depending on real-time visual results or logistical constraints encountered in the field.

Bighorn Prospect May Be Included in Drilling Scope

Beyond the Main Fault zone, the company is also evaluating the inclusion of the Bighorn target in this phase of drilling. The Bighorn prospect has yielded silver-bearing quartz-siderite-galena veins from an earlier hole, and pending time and budget, an additional drillhole could be directed there for follow-up.

The decision to revisit Bighorn reflects Silver North’s ongoing evaluation of its five priority targets, with Main Fault currently taking precedence due to its demonstrated mineralisation consistency.

Rising Silver Sentiment Frames Strategic Expansion

As global silver prices continue trending higher, Silver North’s activity at Haldane aligns with broader momentum seen across the sector. The Keno Hill District, known for its rich silver mining history, offers a favourable backdrop for advancing under-explored assets.

The company’s strategy focuses on systematically testing high-priority targets to delineate mineralisation, with the goal of establishing the Haldane Project as a significant contributor within the region.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the objective of Silver North's current drilling program at the Haldane Project?
The program is focused on expanding known silver-lead-zinc mineralisation at the Main Fault zone and testing mineral continuity across multiple sections.
  • Who is responsible for executing and supporting the drilling operations?
Paycore Diamond Drilling will serve as the drill contractor, with Hardline Exploration Services managing logistics and staffing.
  • Why is the Bighorn target mentioned in the expansion plans?
The Bighorn target has previously shown silver-bearing veins, and the company may drill there based on available time and budget following Main Fault tests.
