Highlights

  • Scottie Resources initiates drilling to support economic assessment

  • Program aims to expand resource and inform mine design

  • Step-out drilling underway at new and existing zones

Gold exploration firm Scottie Resources Corp (TSX-V:SCOT) has commenced a multi-rig drilling campaign at its namesake Scottie Gold Mine Project. The operation includes work at the Blueberry Contact Zone and additional targets in preparation for an upcoming preliminary economic assessment. Scottie Resources is not a part of any ASX index, but its sectoral relevance ties into ongoing resource development activity.

With a renewed focus on expanding and refining its current resource base, the company is combining expansion drilling with technical studies to underpin a direct shipment ore assessment due later in the year.

Drill Campaign Targets Expansion and Technical Validation

Scottie Resources activated three drill rigs across multiple zones within its property. The program is focused on both lateral and vertical extensions of the Blueberry Contact Zone, including the siltstone side of the contact and deeper underground targets. Efforts are structured to extend the current pit shell while exploring stope geometries relevant to underground development.

The drilling is designed to generate new mineralised data while collecting technical information to support future mine planning. These data inputs are also expected to enhance the accuracy of the planned preliminary economic assessment.

Work Initiated at P-Zone and Wolf Zone Targets

Alongside ongoing work at Blueberry, drilling has resumed at the P-Zone within the main Scottie Gold Mine Project footprint. The program includes step-out exploration at the Wolf Zone, which previously yielded notable assay results in historical campaigns.

Wolf Zone’s geological structures offer continued interest due to mineral continuity and grade distribution, and it remains a priority for potential expansion. The step-out approach will further test boundaries and improve understanding of mineralisation along strike.

Geotechnical Studies Progress Toward Mine Design Integration

As drilling advances, Scottie Resources is also progressing technical programs linked to geotechnical and hydrogeological studies. Data collection from designated drillholes will support engineering models essential for evaluating underground access and ore delivery mechanisms.

Mine design efforts are ongoing and aim to align field observations with winter-phase development goals identified through prior desktop studies. The company expects to integrate results from this summer campaign into broader economic modelling.

Preliminary Economic Assessment Targeted for Direct Shipment Scenario

The culmination of the current exploration phase is a low-capex preliminary economic assessment based on a direct shipment ore model. The assessment is planned for completion later in the year and will outline both technical parameters and output shaping the development trajectory of the Scottie Gold Mine Project.

The company maintains full ownership of the Scottie Gold Mine Property, which includes both the Blueberry Contact Zone and the historical mine infrastructure.
