Rumble Resources upgrades resource estimate at Western Queen gold project
Inferred category sees notable expansion with deposits open along strike
Further drilling and study underway to assess project scale and configuration
Rumble Resources Ltd (ASX:RTR), part of the All Ordinaries index, has advanced its presence in the gold sector by updating the mineral resource estimate for its Western Queen Project. The project, located in the Mt Magnet region of Western Australia, now reflects a higher overall resource volume and grade, signalling developmental progress across key deposits.
This update follows recent exploration efforts and a review of drilling campaigns completed in the area.
Drilling Enhances Resource Across Princess and South Deposits
The revised resource calculation is based on a combination of reverse circulation and diamond drilling activities. These programs focused on identifying new mineralised trends and extending known structures within the Princess and Western Queen South zones.
The inferred component of the resource saw substantial improvement, attributed to the successful intersection of gold-bearing structures at depth and along plunge trends. The work reinforces geological continuity across the southern extent of the mineral system.
Western Queen South Sees Grade Elevation on Reinterpretation
Resource modelling has been enhanced by new geological interpretations, particularly within the Western Queen South area. This re-evaluation played a role in refining the grade and classification of mineralisation, highlighting zones with higher gold content than previously reported.
The updated interpretation followed a technical assessment conducted in preparation for a comparative study between open-pit and underground mining options. The results have led to meaningful changes in both tonnage and grade distribution.
Pathway Forward: Conversion and Deeper Testing
With the revised resource now defined, the company is preparing additional drill programs aimed at converting inferred tonnes to the indicated category. The upcoming activities will also test the deeper extensions of existing structures, which remain open beyond current drilling limits.
Exploration success and grade consistency could further contribute to delineating a larger resource base that accommodates long-term mine planning.
Strategic Location and Regional Infrastructure
Western Queen benefits from proximity to three established gold processing facilities, with the Dalgaranga Mill being the nearest. This enhances potential development efficiencies and logistical feasibility for future operations.
The company is also engaged in regional exploration across Western Australia, with additional focus on its emerging zinc-lead-silver sulphide discovery. Rumble Resources is scheduled to present project developments at the Noosa Mining Investor Conference.
