  • Resource Mining Corporation initiates RAB drilling at Stalike and Kabungu in Tanzania

  • Assays underway as part of systematic copper-gold exploration strategy

  • Third-party interest grows across Mpanda and nickel project portfolio

Resource Mining Corporation Ltd (ASX:RMI), listed on the ASX 200, has commenced a rotary air blast (RAB) drilling campaign at its Mpanda Copper-Gold Project in Tanzania. The exploration-focused company is advancing its first-pass orientation drilling program aimed at two key prospects—Stalike and Kabungu—across the large-scale project area.

This initial campaign forms part of a broader systematic exploration approach intended to delineate both gold and copper mineralisation across the project, which spans a significant section of the Ubendian Orogenic Belt.

Targeting Key Mineralised Zones at Mpanda

The Mpanda project has seen the launch of a rotary air blast campaign designed to evaluate historically worked zones. Angled RAB holes are being deployed to penetrate the weathered rock horizon, with individual holes planned at various depths across the targeted prospects.

Sample collection is occurring at regular intervals, with assays focusing on copper and gold content among other mineral elements. Site imagery confirms collar locations, and despite initial logistical delays, on-ground activity has now commenced through RMC’s Tanzanian exploration team.

Strategic Mineral Portfolio Driving Exploration Momentum

In addition to the copper-gold program, Resource Mining Corporation has flagged increasing external interest in its broader mineral portfolio. This includes attention directed at the Mpanda site as well as renewed focus on its Tanzanian nickel holdings.

The company holds multiple exploration licences across Tanzania, encompassing the Kabanga North, Kapalagulu, and Kabulwanyele Projects, among others. Historic exploration at these sites has included work by notable multinationals. RMC’s project areas lie in geologically favourable zones associated with copper, gold, and nickel occurrences.

The company's Finnish exploration interests include the Hirvikallio and Kola Lithium Projects, which contribute further diversification to its critical minerals focus.

Leadership with Local and International Experience

Resource Mining Corporation is chaired by Asimwe Kabunga, an Australian executive with deep connections to Tanzania. His leadership and the company’s expanding presence in the region have positioned RMC as an active participant in East Africa’s exploration landscape.
