  • Power Metallic Mines begins metallurgical testing phase at its Lion Zone

  • Sulphide concentrate recovery methods under evaluation using scan data

  • Drill program spans multiple zones within the Silver Nisk Project area

Power Metallic Mines (TSX-V:PNPN), a company focused on advancing polymetallic mining projects, is progressing with its evaluation program at the Lion Zone within the Silver Nisk Project. This initiative places the company under the radar of international exploration peers listed on indices such as the All Ordinaries, given the global interest in battery and precious metal resources.

The project, located in a mineral-rich region of Canada, features multiple zones including Lion, Nisk, Nisk East, and Tiger, with the current phase targeting further understanding of recovery efficiency and mineral composition.

Microscopic Scans Inform Future Metallurgy Plans

As part of the project’s next steps, Power Metallic is assessing sulphide concentrate recovery methods based on detailed scans of samples retrieved from several drillholes. The scanning was conducted by IOS Geosciences, covering numerous core samples aimed at mapping mineralisation and guiding the forthcoming metallurgical testing.

This data provides a foundation to determine how best to recover copper and platinum group elements, and refine processing approaches that align with the project's mineral characteristics.

Drilling Campaign Supports Broader Geological Interpretation

The winter drilling campaign has extended exploration efforts across a substantial strike length, allowing the team to assess various anomalies detected in previous surveys. These include zones where electromagnetic signals indicated possible mineralised structures not initially apparent.

Initial assays from this campaign have shown intercepts that include a variety of metal values within ultramafic layered intrusions. This geological context supports the company’s ongoing exploration model for polymetallic resource formation and extraction strategies.

Lion Zone Leads Mineral Testing Pipeline

The Lion Zone remains the focus of current testing activity, with a strategy aimed at identifying an optimal recovery method. Mineralogy testing is ongoing, and once complete, results will inform metallurgical design decisions. The outcome of this process is expected to shape the next phase of work within the Silver Nisk Project area.

Alongside these efforts, Power Metallic is positioning its broader portfolio for further geological interpretation, relying on detailed scanning data and mineralogical mapping to fine-tune development planning.
