MTM Critical Metals (ASX:MTM), part of the All Ordinaries, has announced a key strategic appointment for its US operations as the company prepares for its rebranding to Metallium. The company’s US subsidiary, Flash Metals USA, has welcomed Gregory L Bowman to its advisory board.

Bowman currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Senior Vice President of National Security Solutions at Siemens Government Technologies. His role at Flash Metals USA is designed to bolster the company’s alignment with US national priorities, especially in securing resilient critical mineral supply chains.

Strategic Focus on National Security and Industrial Policy

Bowman’s appointment underscores MTM’s push to enhance its US footprint in the critical minerals sector. The advisory board role includes working with Flash Metals President Steve Ragiel on building strategic pathways across defence, aerospace, and semiconductor sectors.

The scope of his responsibilities includes mapping key stakeholders, exploring federal engagement, and helping navigate complex government programs. His previous experience in public-private partnerships and critical infrastructure policy is expected to support Flash Metals’ goal of scaling clean, domestic refining solutions.

Clean Technology for Domestic Strategic Metal Processing

Based in Houston, Texas, Flash Metals USA is advancing the commercialisation of Flash Joule Heating, a patented process designed to recover strategic and rare earth metals without the use of acids or traditional smelting.

The company’s approach centres around modular, onshore technologies that respond to national industrial goals for sustainable and secure supply chains. MTM’s US strategy appears aligned with efforts to support domestic manufacturing readiness and reduce reliance on overseas processing.

Leadership Endorsement and Vision

MTM Critical Metals CEO Michael Walshe highlighted Bowman’s credentials in shaping US strategic industrial engagement, noting that his expertise will be instrumental in progressing engagement with federal agencies and industrial partners.

Bowman expressed his support for the mission of Flash Metals, noting the company’s technology is closely aligned with clean manufacturing and energy goals being advanced across the country. He also acknowledged the strategic importance of bringing advanced refining technologies into the fold of US national readiness.

Broader US Industrial Alignment for Flash Metals USA

The collaboration reflects a wider momentum within MTM’s expansion strategy, as it builds capabilities across clean refining and scalable critical mineral recovery. The engagement of high-level expertise from defence and infrastructure sectors reinforces its intention to embed Flash Metals USA within national policy frameworks and commercial supply chains.
