Iltani Resources identifies significant electromagnetic responses across Herberton
Orient Silver-Indium Project shows extended mineralised structures
Deadman Creek anomalies prioritised for fieldwork and exploration
Australian mineral explorer Iltani Resources Ltd (ASX:ILT), listed on the ASX 200, has reported stronger-than-expected outcomes from its versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) survey at the Herberton Project in Northern Queensland. The results mark a critical phase in the company’s exploration campaign aimed at critical raw material resources.
The Herberton Project, located near the historic township of Herberton, spans a large area and is considered prospective for a range of mineral systems. The recent survey covered priority targets and revealed numerous electromagnetic responses across the project’s surveyed zone.
Orient System Emerges as Focus Following Electromagnetic Results
Multiple electromagnetic signals were identified at the Orient Silver-Indium Project, pointing toward a broader mineral system than initially defined. Iltani Resources believes the Orient anomalies reflect sulphide mineralisation and has prioritised this area for further modelling and eventual drilling.
The Orient system displayed several strong responses that extend well beyond currently mapped boundaries. Additionally, the southern zones near Orient West also yielded robust electromagnetic activity, indicating the possible existence of parallel vein networks.
The company’s team is now focused on finalising detailed modelling of these signals, beginning with the Orient East zone. Due to the volume and complexity of the anomalies, Iltani has paused drilling in the Orient area after completing its current JORC infill program. The upcoming drill campaigns are expected to resume around mid to late July, once modelling and target ranking are finalised.
Deadman Creek and Other Targets Gain Ground for Exploration
Beyond Orient, Iltani Resources identified notable anomalies at Deadman Creek, where electromagnetic responses suggest the presence of sulphide mineralisation. Field programs at this site are set to commence shortly, beginning with mapping and sampling activities.
The broader survey has generated a substantial number of targets, all of which will undergo evaluation through both on-ground inspections and data modelling. These steps are designed to help prioritise drilling plans across multiple zones at Herberton.
Funding Support and Conference Participation
The VTEM survey was supported through funding provided by the Queensland Government under the Collaborative Exploration Initiative. This financial assistance enabled Iltani Resources to expand the scope of its survey activities and pursue detailed geophysical analysis.
In addition, Iltani Resources will be attending the Noosa Mining Investor Conference at Peppers Noosa Resort from 23 to 25 July. The event brings together companies and stakeholders within the mining and exploration sector to highlight current developments and future strategies.
