  • Boss Energy announces leadership transition with Matt Dusci set to take over as CEO

  • Duncan Craib to remain with the company as non-executive director after stepping down

  • The Honeymoon Uranium Operation continues production under ASX 200 uranium miner

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX:BOE), part of the ASX 200, has named Matt Dusci as its next Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, beginning a new chapter for the uranium-focused firm. Dusci, currently serving as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, is set to assume the top executive role following the planned departure of current CEO Duncan Craib later this year.

The leadership change arrives during a crucial growth period for Boss Energy, especially as the company continues ramping up production at its flagship Honeymoon Uranium Operation in South Australia.

Matt Dusci Brings Mining Leadership Experience to CEO Role

Matt Dusci’s appointment reflects deep experience in the mining and resources sector. He has previously held senior executive roles at IGO Ltd (ASX:IGO), including acting CEO and Chief Operating Officer. His background also includes positions with PMI Gold (ASX:PMI) and international mining firm Gold Fields (NYSE:GFI).

His leadership at Boss Energy is expected to build on the company’s operational milestones as it continues its transition from development to production at the Honeymoon project.

Outgoing CEO Duncan Craib to Join Board Post Leadership Transition

Duncan Craib will step down from his executive position at the end of September and transition into a non-executive director role at the start of the new year. During his tenure, Craib played a central role in bringing the Honeymoon Uranium Operation into production, marking the reactivation of Australia’s only new uranium mine in over a decade.

Craib has expressed his appreciation for the team’s efforts in establishing Boss Energy’s presence as a uranium producer and has endorsed Dusci’s capabilities to guide the next phase of growth.

Honeymoon Uranium Project Key to Company’s Strategic Expansion

The Honeymoon Uranium Operation has been a central asset in Boss Energy’s production strategy. Located in South Australia, the site includes the historical Honeymoon Mine, which uses in-situ recovery to extract uranium. The mine's recent achievements include meeting its production guidance, underlining operational progress during a time of increasing global demand for uranium.

Boss Energy’s continued activity at Honeymoon positions the company as a notable player within the uranium segment of the ASX 200, contributing to renewed focus on nuclear energy as a long-term power source.

Search for Permanent CFO Underway Amid Executive Reshuffle

As part of the broader executive transition, Boss Energy has also commenced its search for a new Chief Financial Officer. The leadership changes reflect a reshaping of its executive team to align with production momentum and future infrastructure planning.
