Aureka progresses its St Arnaud Project with new gold intercepts at Comstock
Ongoing drilling reveals mineral continuity down dip along major shear zones
Company to present updates at Noosa Mining Investor Conference this month
Aureka Ltd (ASX:AKA), listed on the All Ordinaries, continues to develop its St Arnaud Project in Victoria with an expanded resource outlook at the Comstock prospect. As part of an ongoing diamond drilling campaign, the company has intercepted mineralisation beyond its previously released maiden resource estimate.
This development builds upon the company's efforts to identify deeper extensions of the gold system hosted within the regional quartz vein network. The intersected mineralisation has been associated with zones containing pyrite, arsenopyrite, galena, and sphalerite, indicating continued presence of mineral-rich sheared stylolitic quartz formations.
Mineralisation Extends Beyond Maiden Resource Footprint
New drilling at Comstock has revealed multiple zones of gold mineralisation that exceed the extents of the current resource model. The findings demonstrate mineral continuity down dip, with Aureka reporting elevated grades within deeper sections of the shear system.
These intercepts follow the inferred resource delineated in the previous reporting period and suggest an enhanced geological understanding of the prospect’s potential. The structural features observed in the latest drilling are in alignment with historic mineralised trends and reinforce the geological model supporting further work in the region.
Project Advancements Strengthen Exploration Outlook
St Arnaud remains a central focus within Aureka’s Victorian gold portfolio. The company’s strategy includes systematically following up with additional drilling programs to test the vertical and lateral extent of known structures. This approach is aimed at increasing geological confidence in prospective areas while refining the mineralised footprint.
The continuation of the diamond drilling program is expected to contribute to the resource expansion strategy as additional results become available. Aureka has expressed an intent to build upon the current geological model with a focus on incorporating new data into future resource updates.
Corporate Updates and Industry Engagement
Aureka has confirmed its participation at the upcoming Noosa Mining Investor Conference, scheduled for later this month at the Peppers Noosa Resort. The event presents a platform for the company to showcase its recent progress at St Arnaud to industry stakeholders.
The company’s management is expected to present findings from its ongoing drilling activities and provide an update on strategic plans for advancing Comstock and broader project tenements. This public engagement aligns with the company's ongoing exploration narrative and continued focus on enhancing shareholder visibility.
