Highlights

  • Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) reports high-grade gold intersections at the Kamperman deposit within the Feysville Gold Project

  • Drilling conducted primarily for geotechnical data has revealed mineralisation within the pit shell beyond known resources

  • Intersections from multiple deposits indicate scope for further resource delineation

asx 200 listed Astral Resources (ASX:AAR) has outlined notable gold intersections from recent geotechnical drilling at its wholly-owned Feysville Gold Project, located south of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The campaign targeted several deposits, including Kamperman, Rogan Josh, and Think Big, within a prolific gold-producing region recognised in major Australian indices such as the Asx 100 and All ordinaries.

Geotechnical program delivers unexpected gold grades

The diamond drilling program was primarily designed to gather rock property data to support pit optimisation activities for the Mandilla pre-feasibility study. Despite this technical focus, the program yielded gold intersections of significant grade within the Kamperman deposit. Several results were recorded inside the optimised pit shell but beyond the limits of previously identified mineralisation.

Kamperman deposit yields standout intersections

Drilling at Kamperman delivered some of the most notable gold grades from the Feysville project to date. Key intersections were observed across multiple zones, showing high-grade mineralisation within areas already modelled for mining but outside current resource boundaries. These findings point to possible extensions of mineralised structures that had not been fully captured in earlier modelling work.

Additional intersections at other deposits

Beyond Kamperman, intersections were reported at Rogan Josh and Think Big, where the program also encountered mineralisation. While these results were incidental to the main geotechnical purpose, they add geological context and contribute to understanding the broader mineral systems within the Feysville tenure.

Strategic relevance of results

Although the principal aim of the program was to inform engineering parameters for future mine design, the unexpected grade profiles within the pit shell align with Astral Resources’ ongoing strategy to refine and optimise project economics. The results may warrant further drilling to delineate resource extensions, contributing to the long-term planning of the Feysville operation.

Feysville project’s position in Australian gold landscape

Located within a well-established gold district near Kalgoorlie, the Feysville Gold Project benefits from proximity to existing mining infrastructure and skilled mining services. The region’s historical and ongoing production underpins its relevance within the Australian gold sector and supports its standing across market indices, including the Asx 50 and Asx 300.
