  • Astute Metals confirms broad lithium intercepts from latest drillholes

  • Red Mountain Project returns its widest mineralised intercept so far

  • Core samples from remaining drillholes await laboratory results

Australian mineral exploration company Astute Metals Ltd (ASX:ASE), listed on the ASX 200, continues its focused efforts on lithium resource development, progressing its Red Mountain Lithium Project in central-eastern Nevada, United States. The project is located in a region recognised for its expansive tertiary lake sedimentary rocks, specifically the Horse Camp Formation.

Through its most recent exploration efforts, the company has reported results from two drillholes completed as part of its April diamond drilling program, with intersections confirming continuity of lithium-bearing zones at depth.

Red Mountain Delivers Broad Lithium Intersections

The latest assay results from Red Mountain feature multiple mineralised lithium zones, including what has been described as the broadest intercept recorded from the project to date. These findings reinforce Astute’s geological interpretation of a laterally continuous lithium-bearing system.

Company leadership highlighted the consistency and scale of the mineralisation, with intersections that align with the broader goal of defining a maiden mineral resource estimate. This estimate is targeted for completion within the year, pending the outcome of remaining sample analyses.

Remaining Drilling Samples Await Results

Astute has completed core processing for the entire campaign and confirmed that the remaining two holes have been sampled and dispatched for laboratory preparation. The results for these final holes are expected in the upcoming month and will play a significant role in shaping the next phase of exploration.

Once all assays are received, data from the April program will be consolidated with historical drill data to finalise planning for the second half of the calendar year. This upcoming phase is intended to further delineate mineralised zones and optimise future drilling across the Red Mountain lease area.

Ongoing Lithium Focus for Energy Transition

Astute Metals has positioned itself as a diversified explorer committed to the discovery and development of critical minerals, with lithium as a central focus. As the global demand for electrification accelerates, lithium projects such as Red Mountain are attracting growing attention due to their alignment with energy storage and battery supply chain requirements.
