Exploration company Askari Metals Ltd (ASX:AS2), listed on the ASX 300, is set to conduct a live investor webinar on Tuesday, July 15, to outline its acquisition of the Nejo Gold Project in Ethiopia. The webinar will be led by executive director Gino D’Anna, who will provide an overview of the acquisition’s significance and the company’s strategic outlook across the broader region.

The session aims to offer a comprehensive update on Askari’s African activities, with attendees encouraged to submit questions and engage with company leadership regarding its development and exploration plans.

Nejo Gold Acquisition Reinforces African Strategic Pivot

Askari has expanded its African footprint through the acquisition of the Nejo Gold Project, a large-scale tenement located in central-western Ethiopia. The project is part of the Arabian-Nubian Shield — a region with a well-established history of gold and copper mineralisation.

Ownership of the Nejo Project was secured through a binding share purchase agreement, giving Askari full control of Xingxu Mining International Investment Co Ltd, a Hong Kong-based entity holding the tenement. This move is aligned with the company’s strategic shift toward exploring underdeveloped yet resource-rich geological provinces in Africa.

Project Location Near Notable Gold Operations

The Nejo Project is located within a geologically significant greenstone belt known for large-scale gold systems. It sits in proximity to two major gold operations — the Kurmuk Mine owned by Allied Gold (TSX:AAUC) and the Tulu Kapi Mine operated by Kefi Gold and Copper (LSE:KEFI).

This region is globally recognised for hosting a range of multi-million-ounce gold assets across countries including Egypt, Sudan, Eritrea, and Ethiopia. The Nejo Project, located within this highly prospective setting, presents Askari with extensive geological coverage and potential exploration outcomes.

Webinar Participation Open to Shareholders and the Public

Askari’s upcoming webinar reflects the company’s intent to maintain transparent communication regarding its exploration activities and project milestones. The session will provide stakeholders with an overview of Askari’s immediate plans following the Nejo acquisition and how the project fits within its broader portfolio.
