His experience spans the full exploration lifecycle from grassroots discoveries through to feasibility and development and includes work across a wide range of geological settings in Africa, including Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, and Kenya.

His involvement comes at a critical time for Askari Metals, which is ramping up its efforts to digitise and historical exploration data at the Nejo site. This process will help define high-priority targets as the company prepares to send an in-country team to commence fieldwork.

Historical data has previously pointed to the presence of both gold and copper, but modern techniques have yet to be widely applied in the area. Askari Metals aims to leverage this untapped by implementing a structured exploration strategy guided by its growing technical team.

The Arabian-Nubian Shield — the geological setting in which Nejo is situated is known for hosting large-scale deposits of gold and base metals. While nearby regions have seen increasing exploration success, Ethiopia remains underexplored in comparison, offering a compelling for new projects to emerge.

Beyond technical planning, Askari Metals is also focused on building relationships and operational infrastructure within Ethiopia. The company continues to engage with government agencies and local communities to ensure a collaborative and sustainable approach to exploration.

The addition of the technical consultant underscores Askari’s long-term commitment to its African operations. His guidance will be key in shaping the exploration program, prioritising targets, and navigating the early stages of project development.

As groundwork continues at Nejo, Askari Metals remains focused on advancing its exploration goals while strengthening its presence in one of the world’s most prospective, yet underexplored, mineral belts.
