Aruma to commence maiden drilling at Fiery Creek’s Piper prospect
Heritage and landowner approvals underway for July program
Gold anomalies identified at Salmon Gums to receive further drilling
Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ), a mineral exploration company listed on the ASX 200, has announced the commencement of its inaugural drilling program at the Piper prospect within the Fiery Creek Copper Project in Western Australia. The move follows recent geophysical surveys that outlined significant features along a north-south gravity trend.
Reverse circulation drilling is scheduled to begin in July following the completion of a heritage survey and formal landowner consent. The program will cover multiple drill holes targeting both a gravity structure and induced polarisation conductors. These anomalies align with earlier rock chip sampling that identified notable copper, antimony, and silver signatures.
Geophysical Results Support Drill Targeting at Piper Prospect
The geophysical anomalies identified at the Piper prospect have been flagged as priority drill targets. Historical exploration and field assessments have provided support for the presence of mineralisation aligned with copper-bearing zones. The company’s evaluation of past exploration data and recent field activity has reinforced its focus on the Piper location.
Managing Director Grant Ferguson stated that outcomes from geophysical surveys, combined with surface sampling, have contributed to a stronger understanding of the project area. The Piper zone will now undergo its first drill test aimed at confirming subsurface continuity of mineralisation.
Salmon Gums Project Returns Geochemical Anomalies
In addition to Fiery Creek, Aruma Resources has completed an aircore drilling program at the Salmon Gums Gold Project. The campaign involved multiple drillholes targeting various geochemical zones. The results have revealed three new anomalies, including promising intervals at the Poppy prospect.
Following this phase of drilling, Aruma is planning further activity to define the width and strike extent of the gold-bearing zones. The company intends to continue exploration at Salmon Gums in parallel with its drilling initiatives at Fiery Creek.
Aruma Maintains Dual Focus Across Copper and Gold Assets
Aruma Resources is progressing exploration across its copper and gold portfolio in Western Australia. The Fiery Creek program will enhance its understanding of base metal potential, while the Salmon Gums project continues to deliver gold-related targets for future follow-up. The outcomes of these efforts will shape the company’s ongoing project development across both resource categories.
