RBA Hosts Governors from South Pacific Central Banks

In Sydney, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) hosted Governors from South Pacific Central Banks on 19-22 November, which marked the 34th South Pacific Central Bank Governors' Meeting wherein the following agreements were made:

  • To prioritise an initial focus on a Regional KYC framework as a collective;
  • The framework would cover governance, technical and legal requirements in each jurisdiction;
  • The IMF would perform the Secretariat role for the KYC work program;
  • Longer term, to seek service providers to operate within the framework.
