Newcrest Mining Raised AUD 1 Billion To Acquire Financial Facilities

Newcrest Mining Limited (ASX:NCM) has launched a AUD 1 billion capital raising through an institutional placement to acquire financial facilities, and this offer was priced at AUD 25.60, representing a 7% discount to the last closed price of AUD 27.54 on 29 April 2020.

Addition to this, the Company would also undertake a share purchase plan (SPP) offered to existing eligible shareholders to raise up to AUD $100 million.

Moreover, the Company also notified that it has signed an Acquisition Agreement with funds affiliated with Orion Resource Partners and Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and completed the acquisition of the gold prepay and stream facilities and an offtake agreement in respect of facilities of Lundin Gold Inc for nearly USD 460 million.
