New Hope Corporation Limited (ASX:NHC) has released its quarterly activities report for the quarter ended 30 April 2020.
- Total saleable coal production declined 21.7% to 2.282 million tonnes.
- Total coal sold during this period was 2.804 million tonnes, down 8.5% on pcp.
- Bengalla quarterly production was 21% below the average of the previous two quarters because of mine sequencing, wet weather & a localised geotechnical issue.
- Unit cost of production at Bengalla and New Acland was up because of the lower production at both the sites.
